Theory of Power

Those most at risk, who historically and continually bear the full force of racism, xenophobia, genocide, and exploitation, and whose lives are daily exposed to threats are those who must be centered, who must lead, and who possess the fullest capacity to envision an equitable, just world. As individuals, families, and communities we are already powerful. We survive oppressive systems designed to wear us down and thrive, rooted in our cultures and families. Poder invests in, trains, equips, and supports people of color, youth, queer folks, and mixed status communities in order to build power to disrupt and dismantle systems of oppression and determine a new and liberated future.
